Missing Alabama

I love Fall in the South.  I'm missing it.

Paperdolls

Wouldn't it be fantastical if these paper outfits could come to life?  Cutie pie central.

Margherita Missoni

She inspires me for some reason.  I mean, I'm sure it's not hard to be super fresh and stylie when your grandparents founded the fashion house of Missoni, but whatevs...she's cute and I like her.

However, I am devising a plan to somehow break into her closet and fill my hefty hefty cinch sacks to the brim with anything and everything I can carry.

She's also like BFFs with Zac Posen which is super neat-o.  I bet he gives her handbags and all sorts of loot.  I read her Wikipedia file...she really doesn't have a job.  Her exact job title is "Ambassador of Missoni," which translates to: go to fashion events, galas and parties wearing and promoting the Missoni label.  Wow.  Must be a tough life.  Grrrrrr.

Street Fashion straight from Helsinki

I found a neat-O website today, Hel-looks...street fashion photography from Helsinki, Finland. One of my fave things about traveling abroad is checking out the different styles of the locals. Now I can do it from home!  Maybe I should start snapping pics of all the peeps in Hollywood for you guys.  Fun project!

Sergio VS. My Cash

It was a steamy, steamy day in Hollywood....at least it was for the Sergio Rossi store window.  I nostril-fogged it and left my grubby little paw prints smudged across the front display.  The Fall/Winter 09 collection is amazing!!!  So are the prices....ranging from $695 to $2000 a pair. Boo.

Unless you have an endless supply of the cizzash, keep on walking, Missy.  Grit your teeth and walk right on down the street shuffling your Payless pretties all the live long way. Pop into Dolce Vita, Urban Outfitters or Steve Madden.  You will find an array of lovely choices ranging from $99 to $300.

I know---they just don't feel as cushy and snappy as the Big Guys do, but get over it.  It's like a recession errrr something.

PS.  I love Payless BTW.  I ain't knocking it.

Bling Bling

There's a twinkle in my eye....and I think it's all the blingitty bling costume jewels of late.  A recent visit to Neiman's had my eyes a bulging.  Put your dainty, tiny jewelry away and bust out the big guns. The bigger the better.  Medallions, crystals, gems, chains and baubles galore.  How can you not love love love!!!! Sparkles bring me joy and utter glee.  The best thing about these pieces---though they may be trendy for Fall 2008, they will remain timeless in years to come. Definitely collector items.

Neato HATS & marc j

It's New York Fashion Week and there are some amazing new lines for Spring 2009.  I am loving these cutie pie straw hats tilted just a wee bit on all the Marc Jacobs models.  Maybe the fedora frenzy will finally simmer down.  Enough already!

Also--thank goodness for a new post, so you don't have to look at the Sea Witch anymore!!

Faux Snakey Goodness

Mmmm.  This bag needs me and I need her.  She's faux snakeskin with patent leather and chain link arm straps.  Someone named Tammi Lyn made her just for me.....for $745.  Poop.  That makes me sad.  Oh what could have been....damn you, Tammi!

Maybe one day, dear Snakey, one day.

Available at Ron Herman

A Little Pouch...

I am obsessed with totes.  I noticed in Europe everyone was carrying them for their groceries, pharmacy purchases, laundry....everything.  Then when I was in the market line, I realized why. The stores charge you for every bag you need!  This encourages everyone to bring their own bag, forcing people to recycle bag use.  Pretty smart.  Plus, some of the re-useable totes are super cute and funky.  I bought like 8 of them in Paris.  Shut-up--I shared with friends.

I especially love this one for it's vintage print and it's cute little carrying pouch, all made from water-based inks and organic cotton.  $20

Target Spree

I lurrve it when the new designer collections come out at Target!! Jonathan Saunders's collection will hit stores October 5th.  The collection is inspired by the works of Gustav Klimt, Jackson Pollack, and Rothko.

Target gets ransacked pretty fast in Los Angeles....it turns into a mean game of buggy bumpers, so get it while it's fresh!!
