I'm amazed that my closet is packed to the seams and practically overflowing, yet I am standing here in my bra and knickers without a thing to wear. I wonder if Rachel has this problem. Grrrrrr...look at all those delicious shoes she has. Whatev. Now I'm really late for work.
These rock 'n' roll retro sunnys by D&G are very 1960's. They will hit stores Fall 2008. Of course, you will need a smokin' leather jacket to accompany them. Super grooviness. On Net-a-Porter you can register to get notified when certain products become available. It's a neat-o feature and you can stay in tune with all your favorite designers. Check it out!
Dear Gold Cuff, I think you are pretty. You are big and chunky and everything a gold cuff should be. You feel good on my arm. I miss you when you are not near. Take care til next time I visit Nordstrom. One day we will be together forever. Love always, Amanda Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
I am easily flustered in disagreeable situations. Sometimes I wish I were someone more chic, more articulate, more sophisticated...someone less spastic. Someone like the cool and collected Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. She had poise, grace, charm and a legendary style.
I watched a History Channel special on Jackie's life last night and got immediately hooked. I need more information. As soon as I hit up Barnes & Noble for some biographies, we will really delve into the elegant life of Ms. Jackie O.
In the meantime, today, when you're stuck in traffic, fiddling with your new 'effing hands free device required by law, spilling coffee on your newly dry-cleaned white ruffly blouse...just stop. Ask yourself, "What would Jackie do?" Throw that ridiculous earphone in the floorboard. Toss the yucky coffee. Sit up straight. Pull that pink pillbox hat out of the glove compartment, give a little friendly Miss America wave to that man picking his nose in the car next to you, and listen to your foreign language CD's. Yeah. That's right. Learn some linguistics. Did you know Jackie spoke French, Spanish and Italian?? Wow. You are cool, Jackie.
If you're looking for a perfect and refreshing cocktail to sip on tomorrow this raw mojito will make your mouth tingle! This recipe is taken from one of my fave cookbooks by Sarma Melngailis, Raw Food, Real World. Serves 2 so you'll need to double up for sure!
*1 big handful of fresh mint leaves
*1 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
*1/4 cup agave nectar (Whole Foods has it. It's a natural sweetener)
*1 cup sake
*1 cup ice cubes
*1 cup champagne or sparkling white wine
Prep: Mash the mint in a pitcher with the lime juice and agave nectar. Add the sake and ice. Stir. Top with champagne and serve to your thirsty friends. Yay!! You will need lots of supplies because they will be slurped up with a vengeance.
We are renting a boat for the 4th of July. I wish I was wearing this while sipping my mojito. Then again, this is more yacht-style....not electric duffy boat-style which is what we'll be sporting around in. Toot Toot!! Stay tuned for more Independence Day Dreamboat apparel.
